2019 Reading Challenges

It’s the beginning of a new year and so it must be time for new reading challenges! There are so many good ones out there this year. If you’re looking for a reading challenge or two (or twelve!), be sure to check out the list here.

Hope you find some perfect for you. In the meantime, here are the challenges I’m signing up for this year:

2019 Retellings Reading Challenge Silent Assassin 1-5 retellings (I plan to do a mix of fairy tale and Jane Austen retellings.)

Creativity Reading Challenge 2019 No specified number on this one, but I’m going to try to read at least one book a month on creativity or art or writing.

Cruisin’ Through the Cozies Reading Challenge 2019 Level two (Investigator) – B) Read all the books in level one plus an additional 10 cozy books of your choice (total of 20) Level One is a list of 10 categories of cozy mysteries.

eBooks Reading Challenge 2019 Megabyte – 25 books (I have so many unread books on my Kindle, it should be a higher number, but then there are all these other challenges.)

Learn Something New 2019 Reading Challenge Read at least 3 books on a topic you’ve not read much about but would like to learn more about. (I haven’t decided on a topic yet. There are so many to choose from!)

The 2019 Reading Challenge at Modern Mrs Darcy Pick 12 books that match the categories (I love the categories on this one. This should be fun.)

2019 Monthly Motif Reading Challenge To quote the website, “For this challenge, each month of the year is assigned a motif or theme. Your task is to read one book per month that fits in with the assigned motifs…” (I love the categories, or motifs, on this one as well.)

Mount TBR Reading Challenge 2019 Mt. Ararat: Read 48 books from your TBR piles/s (Between the books on my shelves and the ones on my Kindle, I have a shocking amount of TBRs. This number could be way higher, but there’s only so much time.)

The VIRTUAL Mount TBR Reading Challenge Mount Rum Doodle: Read 12 books from your Virtual TBR/Wish List/Library (I always have books that assert themselves during the year or come up at the library, where I have certain authors whose new books are on auto check out for me.)

I almost forgot one. I always do the Goodreads challenge for the year. If you’re on Goodreads (or would like to be), check it out. You can find me on Goodreads here.

So that’s it for this year’s challenges. I was able to hold myself to these nine, but there were so many others I wanted to do. What challenges are you signed or signing up for?
